BIO
Boris Klaatu is a contemporary artist working across multiple media, integrating electronic music as a core element of his practice. His work moves effortlessly between visual art and sound: it can be presented in a gallery just as naturally as it can be part of a festival lineup.
Aldo Fragoso (AKA Boris Klaatu) is a musician, visual artist, and founding member of the renowned electronic music group Telefunka, with an extensive trajectory in the scene. Trained in architecture and holding a master’s degree in graphic expression and processes, he is also a self-taught musician and artist. Through Boris Klaatu, Aldo develops a universe deeply influenced by geometric art and abstraction, using basic shapes and colors. His work oscillates between structure and emotion, articulating visual and sonic concepts through compositions that challenge linear narrative.
The project is marked by its interdisciplinary approach and use of diverse formats, from traditional media like painting, drawing, and collage, to contemporary languages such as video and altered photography. Musically, his live act is a blend of foundational electronic genres like techno and house, performed using sequencers and analog modules, with visuals integrated as an organic part of the stage experience. Technology, far from being a mere technical tool, becomes part of the aesthetic and conceptual discourse of the work.
Boris Klaatu is not just a visual proposal, but a sensory experience that combines sound and image in space, projecting itself as an ongoing exploration of the boundaries between art, design, electronic music, and technology.
